New research (n=1,305) adds two new “chronotypes” to morning/night. “Afternoon” types wake up sleepy, alert from 11 am to 5 pm, and become sleepy again. “Nappers” show double-peaked sleepiness, waking up very alert, sleepy between 11 am peaking at 3 pm, alert until 10 pm, then becoming sleepy again.
